Immersion Exhibition for Shanghai KNN Cultural Media Co., Ltd
The immersive exhibition of the universe space, requested by the client Bilibili, was created within the famous large shopping center, Xi'an Gpark. An inverted high-hanging crystal city reflection was displayed by irregular LED screens, which created an eye-catching space accelerator. The original Water Curtain Square has been transformed into a giant space elevator. There were also amazing Planetary Gate and Civilization Gate. A mobile navigation system, interactive projection, artificial intelligence, AR, neon light, etc., were used to create an immersive experience for visitors.

Unique Properties
Within the limited space of the shopping center, the immersive exhibition of the universe space was created based on the existing facilities. An eye-catching space accelerator was created by using irregular LED screens to form a high-hanging crystal meteorite pile. The original Water Curtain Square has been transformed into a giant space elevator. There were also amazing Planetary Gate and Civilization Gate. A mobile navigation system, interactive projection, artificial intelligence, AR, and neon light, etc., were used to create immersive experience to visitors. This exhibition’s main color was starry sky purple, lava red, aurora green, metallic silver.

Design Challenge
1. Design cool and stunning scenes within the limited established shopping mall space 2. Provide exhibitors with a strong sense of participation and experience 3. Design of multiple storylines and multiple endings 4. Try to use high-tech means as much as possible to increase the sense of technology and future 5. With limited budget and very little time
Project Duration
The project started in January 2023 in China and finished in March 2023, and will be exhibited at other times.
Operation Flow
Players enter the exhibition and select a character in their mobile app. Different characters have different stories and tasks. Different areas in the exhibition have different storylines and interactive games, corresponding to different modules in the mobile app. Players complete the game and tasks of their character and earn corresponding points, which can be used for lucky draws. Everyone experiences different game processes and sees different story endings. The ending of the story is presented to the player through AR technology.
Research
The exhibition caused a sensation not only in the industry, not only in one city, but also throughout the country. The physical space and the science fiction space are intertwined, presenting the mysteries of the depths of the universe in front of our eyes. In the past two years, China's immersive industry has experienced development from scratch. Trendy technology is used to show sci-fi masterpieces, immersive exhibition is used to empower shopping malls, so that China's immersive future has an unpredictable imagination.
Inspiration
The three-body animation is a very famous and very influential sci-fi animation in China. We received an invitation from our client to design an experiential exhibition in a large commercial plaza using the three-body animation as a prototype. The design requirement is that the entire exhibition takes space as the story background, has a storyline, has interactive games, and is full of science and technology and futuristic.
