Octyma is a brake caliper which is coupled with Brembo discs and assembled directly on the front vehicle corner. By pressing the pedal, the fluid flows inside the caliper inducing pressure on pistons, that squeeze the pads against the disc and generate friction to slow down the vehicle. It guarantees the highest vehicle deceleration and enhances driving experience thanks to the innovative 8-pistons cross layout which optimizes pad pressure distribution and braking efficiency.
A dedicated design research was carried out on the distinctive styling cues of the customer brand, its market positioning and the values that the brand intends to communicate to the consumer. The outcomes of the study showed that details can make difference: it is known that, when choosing a car, the JLR average customer is keen on aesthetic, which also includes the braking system.
Brembo vision is turning energy into inspiration: we innovate to inspire the future through tailored solution.
