Residential House for KENSING INTERIOR DESIGN
The sacred space reflects Jesus's arrival, using floor division lines to expand the TV wall and blend dining and living areas. A central light strip extends to the wall, with cross-like bars radiating sanctity. The ceiling features gradient lighting, resembling heavenly light on clouds, while linear light bars enhance diagonal expansion. A circular corridor connects the three room entrances, adding flexibility and creating a gentle corner for all spaces.

We created a symbol of Jesus’s arrival within the space, using floor boundary lines to define the TV wall and living area, extending all the way to the wall to form a cross-like image. The surrounding ceiling lighting resembles rays of light pouring down from the heavens, converging in a circular corridor that seamlessly connects the three doors, creating a unique atmosphere within the space.

In the future, environmental protection on Earth will be a necessary consideration. Therefore, green materials were chosen for the paint. Durability was also taken into account to reduce the need for repeated applications and minimize waste. For the cabinetry, flexible designs were used, allowing for adaptability in future updates or space innovations. This ensures that the cabinets can be continuously reused, reducing environmental waste and enhancing the potential for green materials and recycling.
In use, we need to consider different age groups, as their reach and habits vary. Therefore, we designed everything with ease of access and convenience in mind. Whether it's the simple and intuitive color schemes or the natural flow of movement within the space, everything is aimed at improving the usability and functionality of the environment for users.

We used similar materials and colors for the various surface finishing needs. Whether it's the special paint for the TV wall, the cabinet doors in the entryway, or the flooring materials, everything is matched under the same theme. This approach creates maximum harmony in the overall space, allowing each area to feel coordinated within the entire environment. This, in turn, draws the user's attention and enhances their satisfaction with the space.
In our spatial design, we considered how to use the most efficient method to maximize the space's benefits without wasting any small areas, while also ensuring the overall aesthetics create a pleasant experience for users. We used an open-plan layout to establish spatial connections and expanded space usage by overlapping areas. As a result, we created a comfortable living environment and enhanced interaction for multiple users within the same space.
We drew inspiration for the design from Christianity. Since the users are a devout Christian family, we envisioned rays of light descending from heaven and the imagery of the cross, as well as using simple materials to shape the overall design in terms of form, color, and texture. We also incorporated layers of light and shadow from the heavenly light, creating a sacred, simple, and natural spatial environment.
