The double living room emphasizes verticality, with layered circular chandeliers and asymmetrical stone inlays creating movement within stability. Dining and casual areas flow organically, anchored by a round table and ginkgo chandelier. Indirect nighttime lighting softens the space, allowing family interactions to unfold naturally, daily life, meals, quiet pauses, and forming a shared narrative of home.

The seven-meter-high living room TV wall, crafted from large-scale stone panels, anchors the social area and conveys grandeur. Double-height space extends sightlines to courtyard greenery, while curved ceiling light bands link living and dining areas for natural flow. A ginkgo-leaf chandelier symbolizes longevity and unity. Private suites reflect individual tastes yet maintain cohesion through consistent lighting, curves, and proportion, balancing unity and diversity.

Stone serves as the main material, with blue-green veins, crystalline striations, and marble inlay creating layered depth. Metal accents are restrained, avoiding ostentation. Walls feature Japanese mineral coatings that regulate moisture while offering subtle texture. Warmth is added through wood veneer panels and solid wood furnishings, balancing the cool precision of minerals with tactile, emotional comfort.
The project faced asymmetrical structural constraints in the double-height living room, with the TV wall off-center. To resolve this, designers employed an 'offset axis' strategy, aligning the TV and main chandelier to redefine the spatial center. Asymmetrical stone inlays and adjusted cabinetry balanced the volume, turning structural limitations into a deliberate and harmonious design feature.
The project finished in 2025 in Taiwan.
After moving in, the homeowners described the space as 'suited for long stays.' Intuitive zoning and smooth circulation contribute significantly to comfort. Even when all family members return simultaneously, the house never feels crowded. The double-height living-dining area has become the most frequently used domain, accommodating both daily meals and festive gatherings. Abundant daylight and ventilation maintain comfort for extended periods, encouraging family members to linger and interact, an outcome most affirmed by the residents.
'Gather,' a 1,256.2 m2 residence for ten, balances collective cohesion and individual privacy. Modern minimalism blends with refined luxury across generations. A seven-meter marble feature wall anchors the social area, while curved ceilings and lighting guide interaction between living and dining spaces. Private suites are highly customized, and sustainable strategies, including glazing, setbacks, and environmental optimization, ensure adaptability and long-term livability.
For a ten-member extended family, the design prioritizes precision and subtle luxury over overt symbolism. Centered on the theme of 'gather,' the layout balances togetherness and privacy, with careful attention to massing, scale, and circulation. Starting from modern minimalism, refined materials and understated details create a timeless, mature aesthetic that harmonizes generational preferences while supporting natural convergence and independent movement within the shared home.
