Seamless One presents a complete kitchen cabinet system developed by Kris Lin International Design in collaboration with Goldreif. A seamless monolithic stainless steel surface ensures precision, durability, and visual clarity, while diamond cut edges and an anti fingerprint finish enhance tactile quality and ease of maintenance. The system integrates washing, preparation, and cooking into one continuous interface. Handleless electric drawers and concealed multi scale storage create a clean and unified expression, redefining the kitchen as an efficient and organized living interface.

Unique Properties
Continuous Surface Construction Kitchen system centered on a Length 4500mm Width 1500mm Height 900mm island, developed by Kris Lin International Design and Goldreif, using a 6mm solid stainless steel Fenix surface. The monolithic top is formed as a single sheet, ensuring precision and visual purity at large scale. Large-Scale Storage System The island integrates washing, preparation, and cooking into one continuous plane. Handleless electric drawers and multi-scale storage are fully concealed within the structure.

Production Technology
Seamless Craft and High-Performance Materials The core challenge is in achieving a large scale seamless metal interface. The 6mm stainless steel slab spans approximately 4.5 meters, requiring extreme precision in fabrication and structural control. Through monolithic forming and precision installation, structure and aesthetics are unified. The surface uses Italian FENIX high performance anti fingerprint stainless steel, offering low reflective matte texture, stain resistance, durability, and easy maintenance. It reduces usage traces without altering material essence, making it ideal for high-frequency residential use. Electric drawers and storage systems are fully integrated into the structure, forming an invisible functional system aligned with spatial expression.
Design Challenge
Ultra long Structure and Complex Implementation, The main challenge was achieving structural stability and precise installation of an ultra long seamless metal island in a basement environment. The 6mm solid stainless steel slab is extremely heavy, requiring strict control during fabrication, transportation, and installation. On-site installation required 5–6 workers to coordinate positioning, where even minor deviations could affect surface continuity. The project balances industrial metal properties with residential comfort. Through collaboration with Goldreif, structural performance, fabrication precision, and spatial expression were successfully unified.
Project Duration
This project was launched in Shanghai, China in April 2025 and concluded in Shanghai, China in August 2025.
Operation Flow
Efficient movement and seamless experience, The island is designed around ergonomic workflow, integrating washing, preparation, and cooking into one continuous surface, reducing movement and improving efficiency. Handleless electric drawers open with a light touch, enabling smooth access. Multi-scale storage ensures structured organization. The large interface supports multi-user collaboration, transforming cooking into a shared activity and allowing seamless switching between daily use, social interaction, and presentation.
Research
Redefining the Kitchen Space, With changing lifestyles, the kitchen is becoming the core of domestic life. This project uses a large island and continuous interface strategy to integrate cooking, communication, and daily activities within one space. Research shows that reducing spatial fragmentation and enhancing interface continuity significantly improves efficiency and interaction. The design responds to future housing needs for shared and multifunctional living environments, shifting the kitchen from a functional space to a lifestyle field.
Inspiration
From Functional Kitchen to Collaborative Interface, a large 6mm stainless steel island integrates washing, preparation, and cooking into a seamless surface, transforming cooking into a shared, interactive family experience. Invisible Systems and Living Field, Handleless drawers and modular storage embed functions within the structure, creating a pure, continuous interface that supports cooking, socializing, and daily life.
