Design Challenge
Most of the innovations in the product have been achieved overcoming technical constraints owing to the structural requirements. All these features have undergone numerous cooling simulations and evaluations to provide the best in class performance and freshness preservation. For the development of seal fresh crispers, we overcame the structural and design challenges of maximising space without compromising on usage and refrigeration needs.

Whirlpool Neofresh refrigerators have the following 1st in industry features: Seal Fresh Crispers : These crispers ensure prolonged freshness and vitamin retention, wherein Sealing gaskets have been used for precision Air Flow Control. Adapter Shelves : The primary issue addressed here was the consumer pain point of adjusting space based on their day-to-day needs and currently no refrigerator in the market fulfils this. This solution offers high level of flexibility and is easy and intuitive to use. Water Cassette Docket : This feature solves the Universal Consumer problem of water spillage during ice tray filling in an innovative way
Research
All the innovative features introduced in Whirlpool Neofresh have been developed based on the continuous research activities and the subsequent evaluations and inferences. The organisation has conducted Market visits and Consumer home visits across various social and economic segments throughout the country to get an in-depth understanding of the customer behaviour pattern and usage scenarios. We have also conducted Focus Group Discussions and Online Surveys to reach a wider audience to obtain feedback and insights.
