Located at the border between the old and new towns, Jiangxi Fuzhou Show Time Square has the concept of Central City, Central Avenue, which is a complex of commercial and residential architecture. It aims to be a complex of amusement and leisure while being a center of commerce. The round central plaza and the outdoor commercial mall create three-dimensional layers in the central avenue, which provides a vivid experience of spending. The residential towers surrounding the landscape creates a vibrant facade of the city and extended the urban skyline.

Unique Properties
Jiangxi Fuzhou Show Time Square is a complex of commercial and residential architecture. Areas along the commercial avenue can be defined as commercial districts which includes marketplace, retail store, food , leisure areas. At the center of intersection of these areas, a plaza forms a focal point of the multi layered commercial axis that brings in people. The residential towers surrounding the landscape creates a vibrant facade of the city and extended the urban skyline.

Design Challenge
The biggest challenge in this project was to create a monumental architecture that can enhance commercial activities while enhancing the quality of lives of residents in site surrounded by main traffic roads.
Project Duration
The project started in January 2015 and finished in October 2019
Operation Flow
Strategically, the design divided the project into two areas, residential district and commercial district. The commercial clusters and residential towers of different heights on the two sides create a hierarchy with the surrounding urban space.Also, locating a commercial avenue from east to west , set the atmosphere for commercial activities. With these layers in the land, the design created a spatial hierarchy, which provides lively experience to visitors.
Research
Through the analysis of land disposition, functionality, and circulation of consumers, several thematic plazas manipulate circulation of the people and create activity space correspondingly. The design categorized shops into different clusters to create a multi layered network of commercial space, which provides a vivid experience of spending. Also, in the plaza, vertical transportation and interlocking terraces accomplish a playful and leisurely residential area.
Inspiration
Inspired by abundant water resources in Jiangxi, design adopted brightly coloured horizontal features on the commercial buildings. This eye catching architecture can perform as a beacon that gives directions to flowing in population. In between the commercial cluster and avenues, we created a thematic commercial street with balconies setback at a human scale, creating a pleasant commercial setting. At the same time, the round central plaza and the outdoor commercial mall create three dimensional layers in the central avenue.
Project Overview
Fuzhou Show Time Square Commercial and Residential has been a Iron winner in the Architecture, Building and Structure Design award category in the year 2019 organized by the prestigious A' Design Award & Competition. The Iron A' Design Award is awarded to good designs that meet the rigorous professional and industrial standards set by the A' Design Awards. This recognition is reserved for works that demonstrate a solid understanding of design principles and show creativity within their execution. Recipients of the Iron A' Design Award are acknowledged for their practical innovations and contributions to their respective fields, providing solutions that improve quality of life and foster positive change. These designs are a testament to the skill and dedication of their creators, showcasing their ability to address real-world challenges through thoughtful design.
