Recognition is an important evaluation index in logo design. How to use a simple design language to integrate the hotel with the complex and changeable landmark Potala Palace is one of the difficulties in the whole design. The Potala Palace is a holy building in the eyes of Tibetans. Therefore, the design team refined the most representative element pillars as design elements, and created the image of the three-dimensional Potala Palace through two-dimensional techniques, so that the annotation conveyed a strong regional style.

Production Technology
The logo on all paper promotional materials adopts embossing technology, and the light and shadow of the logo are used to create a three-dimensional effect.
Design Challenge
Identity is an important attribute in logo design. How to use concise design language to integrate the hotel with the complex and changeable landmark - Potala Palace is the biggest challenge of the entire design.
Project Duration
The project started in March 2022 in Kunming and finished in May 2022 in Kunming
Operation Flow
Many hotel bedding is pure white, but the LHASA hotel adopts the method of printing and dyeing. Printing the hotel logo and related elements on the bedding cleverly. The brand image of the hotel is and enhanced through personalized design techniques.
Research
The project focused on how to use refining design elements to closely link the hotel's character with the majestic Potala Palace. Through field research and analysis, the most distinctive pillars of the hotel building were finally used to shape the logo and the hotel's identification system.
Inspiration
As a landmark building in Lhasa and even Tibet, the Potala Palace is a world cultural heritage, and it is the most sacred building in the eyes of Tibetans. Therefore, The team chose the basic element of hotel architecture "pillar" as the design element, and created a three-dimensional Potala Palace abstract image through two-dimensional techniques, rendering a strong hotel regional style.
Project Overview
Snow Peak Visual Identity has been a Silver winner in the Graphics, Illustration and Visual Communication Design award category in the year 2022 organized by the prestigious A' Design Award & Competition. The Silver A' Design Award celebrates top-tier designs that embody excellence and innovation. This award acknowledges creations that are not only aesthetically pleasing but also highly functional, reflecting the designer's deep understanding and skill. Silver A' Design Award recipients are recognized for their contribution to raising industry standards and advancing the practice of design. Their work often incorporates original innovations and elicits a strong emotional response, making a notable impact on the improvement of everyday life.
