Multifunctional Pendant for Pavit Gujral
The Iceberg Collection is inspired from Pavit's trip to Finland, a country richly frozen in icebergs and icecaps. Finland’s chilly weather and winters were a true inspiration for Pavit to create the Iceberg Collection with Tanzanites, Paraiba Tourmalines and Diamonds. The Diamonds have been micro pave set to imitate the glittering effect of the Finalandic snow. Pavit Gujral graduated from the Gemological Institute of America, New York, in 2015 and is now based in Dubai. Her pieces are bold, inspired and one of a kind.

Unique Properties
The Iceberg Collection is certainly a beautiful jewellery design, it can be worn as a pendant, bracelet or a brooch and the Tanzanite Iceberg can be worn as a ring, pendant or bracelet! The Iceberg Flower has been set in 18K Gold with a beautiful oval Tanzanite cabochon as the centre piece, accented with Diamonds briolette's as pollens, Paraiba Tourmalines and over 4,200 round brilliant Diamonds micropavé set on the flower petals. The Tanzanite Iceberg has been set in 18K Gold with a 130cts Tumbled Tanzanite, representing an Iceberg. The Tanzanite is wrapped in pavé set Diamonds as frost!

Production Technology
A sketch was handrendered from the inspiration, finalising all the colors and shapes of the stone and anatomy. CAD was prepared to determine the final shape & angles of the various pieces in the collection and the exact weights of the gemstones and gold to be used. A wax model was then casted to finalise everything before the collection were casted in 18K Gold. The multiple pieces were then handcrafted with each stone being set and filled by hand. The pieces were then sent for polishing and final quality checks.
Design Challenge
I enjoyed the process of studying and designing the Iceberg Collection. While the below zero degree temperatures in Finland can be a discomfort at times for anyone but I did not view them as challenges that could have hindered my inspiration and designing process.
Project Duration
I was inspired to create the design in November 2021 while on a trip to Finland. The design concept started in July 2022 in Chandigarh, India. The production began in January 2023 in Jaipur, India and was completed in July 2023.
Operation Flow
The collection is very easy to wear. One can simply press and pull the concealed button on the chain, gently push back to close until it locks. The pendent can be clasped in the Tanzaite Iceberg bracelet as well as serve as a brooch. To the wearer’s delight, the Tanzaite Iceberg Ring, a versatile piece can be worn as a ring, pendant or bracelet.
Research
I observed the beauty of icebergs while exploring them in Finland. The mighty icebergs can hide themselves so beautifully in the cold waters of the waterbody and at the same time, they are an extraordinary natural phenomena.

The Iceberg Collection is inspired from a trip to Finland, a country frozen in icebergs and icecaps. Finland’s chilly weather and winters are a beautiful experience altogether. The dark cold night colored with auroras and sweaty dens of millions of saunas are a one of a kind experience for a human being.
